Seasonal Alignment: A Gentle Check-In for Your Soul

Awakening - The word awakening has been sitting in my heart lately—and it’s been showing up often in both Reiki and therapy sessions.

What Does It Mean to Truly Awaken?

The Oxford Dictionary defines awakening as “an act of waking from sleep” and “an act or moment of becoming suddenly aware of something.”

This feels especially fitting as we move from winter into spring. Longer stretches of daylight, the ability to open windows, and more time spent outside all serve as gentle, visual reminders of the awakening happening in nature.

And maybe…within us, too.

Embracing the Rhythms of Nature

If we lean into this idea of awakening, I wonder—have you asked yourself lately:

  • What do I need right now?

  • Where is my energy going?

  • Do I feel engaged and connected to the life I’m living?

Moving Beyond Rigid Resolutions

What if, instead of setting resolutions or goals at the start of the year—only to forget them or feel like we’ve “given up”—we approached things with a seasonal check-in?

A moment to pause.
To tune in.
To notice what’s working and what isn’t.

An opportunity to reassess what our bodies need and where our energy wants to go. Less of a rigid plan, and more of a gentle review and update—based on who you are now and what feels important in this moment.

Honoring the Version of You Right Now

Because if I’m being honest, I’m almost 100% certain that the version of me in December could not create resolutions or goals that my May self would fully agree with.

And maybe that’s not failure—maybe that’s awareness. Maybe that’s awakening.

Supporting Your Journey

If you feel called to explore your own awakening, I would be honored to support you through Reiki or therapy services.
